Three PCs from AG’s Dept assisting PCoI historic: ASG de Livera

Acting Solicitor General Dappula de Livera today refreshed the appearance of the Attorney General’s Department following ASG Priyantha Navana being appointed as a President’s Counsel.

 

Marking his appearance as the Acting Solicitor General, Mr. De Livera yesterday named the other Counsel assisting the Commission from the Attorney General’s Department.

 

Additional Solicitor General Yasantha Kodagoda PC, Additional Solicitor General Priyantha Navana PC, Senior Deputy Solicitor General Milinda Gunathileke, Deputy Solicitor General Dilan Ratnayake, Senior State Counsel Shaida Barrie, Senior State Counsel Dr Avanti Perera, Senior State Counsel Nayomi Wickremasekara, State Counsel Jehan Gunasekara and State Counsel Dhanushan Kaneshayogan.

 

Acording to ASG De Livera this was the first instance in the history of the AG’s Department that, three President’s Counsel have been included in the ten member team assisting the Commission.

 

The Commission also congratulated the ASG Priyantha Navana PC on his appointment.
