The trial of five cases conducted
against former Minister Johnstan Fernando over not declaring his assets from 2010 to 2014 was re-fixed for March 21 by
Colombo Chief Magistrate Lal Bandara today.
Since the absence of the witness of the
prosecution in the trial, the Bribery Commission requested to
postpone the trial.
The Bribery Commission had earlier
charged him with five cases over committing an offence fell under the
Non -assets declaration Act for not revealing his assets declaration
in five consecutive years.
On the earlier occasion he was
permitted to travel abroad temporarily.
